In Math today, we talked about the importance of explaining your thinking. Learners were very responsive to mistakes. Nobody seemed to have a problem with sharing mistakes. Learners seem more comfortable with the idea of including their reasoning after the discussion. The first example shows evidence of a learner tyring to explain their reasoning and show how they solved the problem although it is confusing and incorrect. The 2nd one is correct and includes reasoning/evidence of how the learner can prove that it is correct.
We haven't completed the activity on Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells, but I'm impressed by the drawings of models.
The afternoon students wrote about thier favorite activity of the week. I enjoyed hearing some of them.
