California STEAM Symposium 2017

Getting ready for the morningSession. The Color Guard from a local high school started the program followed by the National Anthem.

I was four rows back, so I had a great view of Captain Kelly's interesting and inspirational message. He also shared a message from his wife, Gabby.

I thanked Tom Torlakson for his support of STEAM education. You can see Captain Kelly 7 feet behind us.

I enjoyed our local GCSN's Kristin Majda make a presentation on using phenomena and storylines to promote STEAM in schools.

After lunch entertainment.

P.M. General Session

This was a well-done presentation considering each session was only one hour.

Rio presentations.

Our students in action.

Northern California students presenting about water.

From 4:30 - 5:30 I attended a session about water. We conducted some demonstrations.

There is a TEDTalk about the Power of Physical Stuff.
