Erica gave me a lovely going away note and gift first thing this morning!

Today was my last RdV PD. It was fun! We discussed ELD strategies with Betsy Pegler.
Surrounded by talented teachers!
Thanks to Stefanie Terrazas for the AMAZING cake pops! I will totally miss them.

 I really feel loved today!

This is it! Heather Parks helped me get the final mess organized, packed, thrown out, or given away.

I felt very honored by the gifts wishing me well.

For the past several years, I have shared my shark jaw collection on the last day of school. It has always been a hit. This year, students had fun with a Kahoot about Sharks. They LOVED it!

Mr. and Mrs. Cantada shared some Filipino food with the staff.

The last of the Genius Presentations were today and showed that the students learned quite a bit during their project. One was about dog walking and another about art. The dog walking group learned about dog psychology!

Today was the end of the year height reveal. The largest growth was 3.25 inches. The least was .25 inches.

Even though we didn't have computers, enough students had smart phones so that partners could test their plant knowledge with a Kahoot!

The CPS students made their Genius Hour Presentations today. I really LOVED this video! This group learned how to use an editing tool in order to voice over their original video.

I showed students how to play Circle Solitaire in Math. It was interesting to watch how some students were getting frustrated right away and others were determined to solve the puzzles.

Flowers were due today and some students really showed their understanding of the reproduction of flowers.

Several students helped remove things from the walls and took the staples out of everything.

Some students get a kick out of it when I take an AR test after reading one of our library books. So I took one for The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley.

The students continued to work on the Flower Engineering project. They were very attentive.

CMC South 2017

The CMC South Conference was a big success. These are the questions from my QFT activity.

I got started on cum folders today after trying several times only to find the room unavailable.

Several students invented a song while trying to find sets of SOCKS.

Science students were very engaged in their Design a Flower project. Some of the discussions let me know that students were comprehending the importance of the various parts of a flower.
