What an AMAZING DAY! Sonia, my previous student, helped in the classroom. The students walked to Rio del Sol and enjoyed the Cardboard Carnival made by 2nd graders.

They wrote about the displays and many were very detailed.

Most students finished their Cave Painting today and many had fun fingerpainting.

All was cleaned up well.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm thankful for a chance to rest.

HHM was entertaining to watch. The students were very active. What a great PE day!

We had our first Cross-Age Specials today. I want to call it STREAM TIME! Science-Technology-Reading-Engineering-Art-Math Togetherness In Meaningful Education.

A bus was arranged to get students to Rio del Sol on time!

A good day!

Nothing crazy happened and some students who are working on behavior improvement are making progress.

I had a Dr. appointment and left school with enough time to make it there on time.

Friday, 8 November 2019

We had a good walk to del Sol and back to del Mar. Today was Mrs. Ponce's first walk with us.

The students enjoyed the delayed Halloween Parade.

They also worked with buddies and hear a GREAT spider book!

Tuesday, 12 November 2019

The students were attentive, respectful, and on task for the majority of the day.

Everyone finished the Cell Lab.

Everyone finished the Unit 1 Math Quiz.
The dancing Brain Break was fun to watch!

Tuesday, 5 November 2019

The morning meeting activity was Silly Sentences. Each student wrote a vocabulary word from a unit of study and each group chose one from which to formulate a Silly Sentence. The results were amusing!

The students were very actively using information about the microscopes in order to compete in a Quizlet.Live. This was the first one of the year.

Students used mini-whiteboards to show how they would solve the area of a parallelogram. There were interesting discussions going on and ultimately great reasoning that seemed to help all students understand the answer to the problem.

Monday, 4 November 2019

The students worked very well all day. Morning meeting started with the Navajo greeting, Ya ah tee. The activity was Heads or Tails and students seemed to enjoy themselves.

This weekend some plants were landscaped outside of the room in the shape of a Question mark. It's very intriguingly beautiful.

The Scrabble Club met at lunch today. Those students are happy and learning with Mr. Sackey.

Afternoon PE was the two del Sol classes learning the Let's Groove Dance. Some students were really into it!
